Contrary to popular belief, I still exist in some form as I float around the world. My inability to keep e-updated has proven that we are all capable of progress – I used to never leave the internet. That being said I do apologize for anyone who has come to this site expecting.. well.. anything in the last few months.
I will start simply. School ended, I had decided to go to Paris for a semester to study French and winter break went by without a hitch. That is, it went by quickly and I had a great time without too much work.
I left mid day after a lunch with my dad in the city to SFO international to board my plane for London. The flight was nearly eleven hours of joyous half-sleep in front of two, count em two toddlers. My sleepless arrival in London was met with the confiscation of three swiss army knives, one from Germany, one from Geneva, and one from home. Apparently London is the only airport I have personally been to that has no packaging service for confiscated items.
The British are still pretty far down on my list.
The second leg of the flight was much more enjoyable and my arrival in Milan marked the beginning of my absolutely uncontrollable excitement. Not only was the train ride breathtaking but I was riding towards a place I knew to be equally stunning and full of people I cared about. Pulling up at dusk to the train station in Lugano I was greeted by Monte Bre, San Salvatore e Monte Boglia, snow capped and balding of its mid winter coat. A quick flip train trip to Laghetto, the stop near Panera and Giardino dorms, and I was back at my old apartment, this time though it was empty and covered in girly posters. After climbing through the still broken but partially fixed kitchen window (as nobody was home and I am a vagrant) I quickly showered and collapsed in a heap on the spare bed graciously awaiting my sore body.
Speaking of sore bodies, I leave this for now to sleep. I will try to be better about updating it, and will finish my last week or two sooner rather than later. A demain!
